9-Year-Old Boy in Isabela Passes Away While Studying Lesson Due to Shooting Incident
ISABELA – A 9-year-old boy identified as Robin Carl Londonio passed away due to a shooting incident while studying his lesson.
Ilagan City Police chief Police Lt. Col. Virgilio Abellera Jr. reported that Robin Carl Londonio passed away due to gunshots. The boy was just studying his self-learning module at their house in Barangay Mangcuram, Ilagan City, Isabela when the suspect simultaneous fired their home.
“’Yung bahay is made of plywood lang, kumbaga tagus-tagusan. ‘Yung bata is nakaupo na nagmo-module doon sa foam na nakalapag sa flooring,” Abellera said.
Robin has been rushed to the nearest hospital for immediate medication but he eventually passed away. The suspect has been identified as former barangay kagawad Jose Baquiran, a relative of the victim
Abellera said that the shooting incident reportedly start when the victim’s family complained against the ‘goats’ of Baquiran during a barangay assembly.
“Katatapos ng barangay assembly nila during that day. Ang inirereklamo ng mga residente doon ay itong kambing ng suspek na kumakain sa mga halaman. Ang suspetsa siguro nitong suspek ay itong side ng biktima ang nagrereklamo,” Abellera added.
The authorities successfully arrested the suspect and found out that he was drunk during that time. However, the cops seized five magazines and ammunitions from the suspect but failed to recover the M16 he used.
The pieces of bullets in the crime scene would serve as evidence against Baquiran. The suspect is now facing charges due to the incident.
