The Samsung Galaxy A72 was announced on March 17, 2021. The smartphone supports single SIM (Nano-SIM) or Hybrid Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by).

Samsung Galaxy A72 powered by the Qualcomm SM7125 Snapdragon 720G Octa-core processor while the graphics processing unit is Adreno 618. It runs on Android 11 + One UI 3.1 operating system. It is packed with 6GB and 8GB RAM options while the internal storage has 128GB and 256GB options.

The smartphone comes in a 6.7 inches screen size and the display is Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that provides 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. The phone measures 165 x 77.4 x 8.4 mm and weighs 203 grams.

Samsung Galaxy A72 sports a quad-camera setup at the back comprising of a 64-megapixel (wide) + 8-megapixel (telephoto) + 12-megapixel (ultrawide) + 5-megapixel (macro). On the front, there’s a 32-megapixel camera for shooting selfies.

The smartphone was launched in Awesome Black, Awesome White, Awesome Violet, and Awesome Blue colors. It is fueled with a non-removable Li-Ion 5000 mAh battery + fast charging 25W.

Connectivity options on the device include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, NFC, USB Type-C 2.0, and USB OTG. The phone’s sensors include proximity, gyro, accelerometer, compass, ANT+, and fingerprint (under display, optical).
