Supreme Court Employees Test Positive for COVID-19
SUPREME COURT – Different offices of the Court recorded cases of COVID-19 in employees thus the skeleton force will be extended.
Over 200 countries and territories across the globe recorded cases of COVID-19. This coronavirus disease has undeniably shaken several healthcare systems and has changed the usual way of living of people.
In the Philippines which is one of the countries that recorded cases of COVID-19, students are under blended learning now. Instead of the usual face-to-face classes, the delivery of the lesson is through modules and online classes.
Also, everyone must wear a face mask and practice physical distancing when going outdoors. In fact, most establishments like shopping malls and pharmacies require a face shield aside from the face mask.

Many institutions are also implementing the skeleton workforce most especially those that are catering services to a huge number of people daily. One of these is the Supreme Court.
Previously, the Court announced a 4-day lockdown for disinfection amid the rising cases of COVID-19 in Metro Manila. It is also set to implement a skeleton workforce and, during the lockdown, set appointments may be done through online platforms.
However, recently, 33 employees of the different offices of the Supreme Court tested positive for COVID-19. It prompted Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta to extend the skeleton force. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, with the recommendation of the Court’s Office of Administrative Services, the 50% skeleton force will be implemented until March 26.
Recently, a spike in the COVID-19 cases in the Philippines took place. The authorities urge the public to continue implementing the health protocols to fight the spread of the disease.
