Curfew Violators Urged by Police Authorities to Sing ‘Lupang Hinirang’
The police authorities required the curfew violators to sing ‘Lupang Hinirang’ after caught during the unified curfew in Metro Manila.
On Wednesday evening (March 17) until Thursday dawn (March 18, 2021), the authorities caught 106 individuals and 19 minors for violating the unified curfew. The offenders have been caught during the third night of curfew’s implementation.
Parañaque City Police said that the numbers of violators dropped from 231 on Monday to 188 on Tuesday. Baclaran curfew offenders increased although the area has the highest number of COVID-19 cases.
Baclaran has 24 offenders on the first date and jumped to 39 on Wednesday evening. Most of the violators are residents in the area. The offenders have been detained at the barangay for a couple of hours and required to sing “Lupang Hinirang” before released.
The offenders in Parañaque City have to pay a fine of P1, 000 on their first offense. The fine would increase on their second and third violation before they face corresponding charges and penalties.

However, the curfew violators are allowed not to pay the fine if they do not have money but they need to spend six hours at the detention room for the first offense.
