DepEd to Probe Reports Stating That Some Parents Admit Paying People to Answer Learning Modules
Some parents admitted that they are paying someone to answer the learning modules of their children, according to DepEd.
Since last year, the Philippine government has shifted from traditional learning to distance learning system due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic in various countries all around the world.
However, a lot of students, teachers and parents are struggling with the new learning system. Some of them prefer the face-to-face learning system rather than online classes and modular learning.
Last week, the Department of Education said that they would investigate the reports that some parents are paying people to answer the modules of their kids amid the distance learning system.
Senator Sherwin Gatchalian has ordered the investigation of the incident and would verify the authenticity of the reports. He also explained that such acts are prohibited because it will not help with teaching honesty.

“Iyan naman po ay pinapatingnan, papatingnan natin sa ating mga kasama at magpapa-validate tayo ng mga naulat, Simula’t simula hindi puwedeng gawin ito kasi hindi ito makakatulong sa pagturo ng honesty,” DepEd Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio said.
