Instant Noodles Pack Containing Illegal Drugs in Zamboanga Seized by Police

Police seized illegal drugs called crystal meth or “shabu” inserted inside the packaging of instant noodles in Zamboanga, Wednesday.

In a report of ABS-CBN News, a man was arrested after being caught with about P300,000 worth of suspected shabu in Zamboanga City. According to police, the suspect put the illegal drugs in a package of instant noodles and attempted to sell them at the city port.

The weight of illegal drugs seized from the suspect, who was the welder of a ship, was about 50 grams. The drugs allegedly came from the province of Sulu. The suspect is facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, an alleged religious group is on the run after they attempt to smuggle illegal drugs inside Davao City jail. Authorities have discovered packages of suspected shabu placed in broom donations for the Davao City Jail male dormitory.

BJMP personnel has recovered 26 packages of illegal drugs called ‘shabu’ or crystal meth. It is estimated that up to P2.08 million worth of illegal drugs they seized.
