MPD Hunts Suspect Who Left Paper Bag Containing Grenade and Ammunitions

The Manila Police District (MPD) is now on hunt to the suspect who allegedly leave a white paper bag containing grenade and ammunitions.

The Manila Police District (MPD) is now thoroughly investigating the person behind the dumping of a white paper bag with only a grenade and six (6) bullets of unknown caliber gun in Moriones Monday afternoon.

It will be recalled that tension engulfed the area due to the abandoned paper bag which was cordoned off and surrounded by the police with the help of police bomb squad who also responded.

Based on the report, the MPD-Station 2 is already checking the CCTVs in the area to determine who is responsible for the incident. MPD-PS 2 led by P / Lt. Col Magno Galora Jr, said a concerned citizen approached the personnel of the Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit or TMRU who were circling the area.

The concerned citizen informed that a white paper bag containing a grenade and ammunition was left on the island along Moriones, Tondo. It immediately verified and cordoned off the area where the information was positive and the said explosives and ammunition were recovered.

Meanwhile, during the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, a man was chased and arrested after leaving a suspicious bag in the People Power monument. When the authorities check the suspicious bag left by the arrested man, they only found corns and vegetables.
