The 11 AM update from the weather bureau says that as of 10 AM, it is at 335 kilometers East of General Santos City on this day.

According to the bureau’s official website, the LPA is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression and may dissipate in the next 24 hours.

The weather disturbance will bring moderate to heavy rains over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao Oriental and Davao de Oro.

Meanwhile, Bicol Region, Northern Mindanao, and the rest of Visayas and Davao Region will face light to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Flooding (including flash floods) and rain-induced landslides may occur during heavy or prolonged periods of rainfall, especially in areas that are identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards.

Adjacent or nearby areas may also face flooding in the absence of such rainfall occurrence due to surface runoff or swelling of river channels.

The bureau also advised public and disaster risk reduction and management offices to take appropriate measures and watch for the next update at 4 PM today and tomorrow’s 4 AM update here.
