Tim Yap Baguio Party: Friends and Venue To Pay This Amount For Violation

The attendees and venue of the Tim Yap Baguio party are fined this amount.

TIM YAP BAGUIO PARTY – Authorities have fined attendees and the venue of the controversial party of television personality Tim Yap with this amount over the violation.

Slammed online are the photos taken during the birthday bash of famous television personality Tim Yap. The photos during the even that apparently surfaced online showed that he and his guests violated health safety protocols.

The event was attended by famous celebrities and personalities such as KC Concepcion and Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong. The group pushed through the party despite the rising number of COVID-19 infections in the country.

Concepcion personally issued her apology through her Instagram account with millions of followers while the mayor decided to resign as a contact tracing czar but was rejected. And with this event slammed online by numerous people, the authorities started their investigation.

For violating safety protocols such as not wearing masks, not following social distancing, and being in a huge crowd despite prohibition of mass gathering, Yap, Concepcion, and other people who were in the party were fined. They are to pay Php 1,500.00 each.

The venue that accepted the event, the Camp John Hay Manor, was fined Php 9,000.00 for failure to enforce quarantine regulations at the gathering. Also, they are investigated for selling and serving alcoholic beverages during the event beyond the prescribed amount set by the government.

Although the guests have tested negative prior the event, Baguio resident were in rage over the lavish party amid pandemic. As much as we are all aware, birthday parties are allowed in area under modified general community quarantine but the number of people are limited.
