Based on a recent news report in Pep, during the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, Tim Yap has taken to his social media account tweets related to the beauty contest. However, one of his tweets appeared offensive in the eyes of other people on the online platform.

His tweet stated: “Some of the girls don’t look like they come from the provinces they represent. #BBPilipinas2017”

Tim Yap’s post on his Twitter account was instantly trashed after it hooked netizens’ attention according to the news report.

“Instead of bashing these lovely women, why not talk about how we can empower other women too? Hater much?” a Twitter user expressed to Yap on the social media.

Based on the report, in response to the reaction of the netizen, Yap said that he is not bashing the candidates of Binibining Pilipinas just like the netizen. According to him, he is also excited on who will “shine” among the beauties.

One netizen told Yap that there are those who really grew up and were from a different province but were sponsored by another province.

According to the news report, the television host and as well as businessman took to the social media an apology for what he has posted about the beautiful ladies.

He apologized to those who were hurt by his post. According to him, he “didn’t mean it that way.” Yap expressed his thought that “everyone is beautiful” regardless of their place origin.
