According to the victim’s complaint, it was found out that Bautista had previously ordered him a cellphone worth P68,000. Bautista allegedly gave the address of the house that was being built.

When he was about to pay, Bautista allegedly pretended to call his brother and then left carrying the cellphone. A few minutes later, Bautista did not return, so the victim asked the workers at the house addressed to the suspect.

He said, the workers confirmed that they did not know each other he just inquired in the house.

According to Mandaluyong Police Chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Gauvin Unos, the entrapment operation was carried out against Bautista when the suspect again ordered a cellphone from his victim who had another Facebook page in use.

Bautista allegedly dropped the price when he sold the snatched cellphones and said that he had done so many times to food deliveries. Unos reminded online sellers to be careful and make sure that those who order their products are legitimate.
