Direk Olivia Lamasan Confirms John Lloyd-Bea Movie & Shares Details
JOHN LLOYD-BEA MOVIE – Director Olivia Lamasan confirmed that the reunion film of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo is pushing through.
In the Philippine showbiz industry, one of the greatest loveteams is the on-screen pairing of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. Both celebrities are among the biggest stars in the industry.
The most prominent film of John Lloyd and Bea is One More Chance where they played as Popoy and Basha who are a couple. It was a huge success and a lot of people called for a sequel.
Indeed, a sequel of One More Chance was granted. John Lloyd and Bea played as a married couple in its sequel, A Second Chance. It tackled about the problems of a married couple most especially their finances.
Now, it’s been several years since John Lloyd and Bea worked on a film together. A lot of people are rooting for a reunion project for the two (2) celebrities – which will happen.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, director Olivia Lamasan confirmed the John Lloyd-Bea movie which the making is set to start in the first quarter of 2021. It is one of the biggest projects of the network for this year.
According to the filmmaker, the creative development is under Carmi Raymundo and both John Lloyd and Bea are co-collaborators of the said film. Changes were made after the project was not able to push through last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Based on the report, the John Lloyd-Bea reunion movie was set to be shot in Florence, Italy and released last year. However, the pandemic did not allow it to happen and the material had to be adjusted in the Philippine setting.
“It’s exciting that he (John Lloyd), together with Bea who has gone through the same journey, collaborate in the project that they are going to do. It’s something that excites us,” Lamasan expressed.
The director is excited to read the script of the John Lloyd-Bea movie. The loveteam started with her in their very first soap opera, Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay.
