Dustin Poirier Finishes the “Notorious” Conor McGregor In 2 Rounds
CONOR MCGREGOR – The “Notorious” Conor McGregor suffers Dustin Poirier’s shock knockout in the second round at Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 257.
Irish professional boxer and mixed martial art fighter Conor McGregor is widely known for his domineering style of fighting. “The Notorious” has earned several championships and titles.
Last September 2020, Connor announced that he is going to fight Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao in the Middle East. The Pacquiao-Conor fight became an extremely exciting topic on sports news.
Conor McGregor returned to the octagon for the first time in a year. He fought Dustin Poirier in Abu Dhabi Sunday.
The UFC superstar’s comeback lasted all of 1 ½ round. Connor ate a collection of strikes and kicks from the American fighter in a technical knockout (TKO) loss.
Dustin Poirier caught Connor McGregor with a series of shots to the head before tying his knees with two left hands. He then sent the “Notorious” to the canvas with a short right before the referee waved it off.
After the fight, Dustin said, “I think this was a title fight – I’m the champion now.”
Conor McGregor promised he would be back. He said, “I have to dust it off and come back and that’s what I’ll do.”
“I’m gutted, it’s a tough one to swallow. I just want to go back to the hotel and chill with my kids and regroup,” he added.
American Youtuber, podcaster, and boxer Logan Paul had a lot of fun watching Conor McGregor gets flattened in his rematch. He posted his live reaction on his Twitter account.
