Tricycle Driver Slammed on the Signage at Police Checkpoint in San Carlos City
In San Carlos City, Pangasinan, a tricycle driver was slammed on the signage place in the middle of the road during the police checkpoint operation.
According to the report of GMA News, the sign placed by the police in the middle of the street while conducting a checkpoint in San Carlos City, Pangasinan was knocked out and destroyed when it was hit by a speeding tricycle on Friday.
The police in Barangay Bulingit are conducting a checkpoint to seize motorcycles riding at night with violations. CCTV footage of the area caught the arrival of a speeding tricycle and hit the sign directly.
Fortunately, the police did not shoot the tricycle driver for thinking it has a bad motive for slamming the checkpoint sign. He was later caught and taken to the police station.
According to the barangay official, it appears that the tricycle driver was nervous when he saw the checkpoint and found out that he did not have a valid vehicle document.
The police advise motorists not to be confused and scared when they see a checkpoint because it is also for them. Checkpoint operation is conducted to apprehend riding in tandem, motorcycle riders with no vehicle documents, and illegal drug smugglers.
