Unfortunately, he made one mistake. Knowing that the police would respond, the thief hid inside the ceilings of the bank. But, he forgot to cover the ceiling on the right side.

As such, the police on the scene got alerted when they saw one of the ceiling covers on the opposite side. After they opened the ceiling, they found the suspect who surrendered immediately.

Based on an article from ABS-CBN, the thief wanted to open the bank’s vault. Sadly, his plans ended up with him in literal tears as he pleaded to the police. He explained that he only attempted the robbery because he had no more money left after he went jobless due to the pandemic.

Following the arrest, authorities recovered over P1,000 the thief stole from drawers, one cellphone, and one computer monitor. Afterward, the police charged him with robbery.
