PAGASA – LPA At Southwest Of Cotabato City This January 18, 2021

PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day January 18, 2021 (Monday).

The 4 AM daily update from the state weather bureau says that the the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was last spotted at about 100 kilometers southwest of Cotabato City.

It is also embedded along the Intertropical Convergenze Zone (ITCZ) which is affecting Mindanao and Palawan; while the Tail-end of Frontal System is affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon and the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan is affecting the rest of Luzon.

For the forecast weather conditions, the LPA and ITCZ will bring Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.

The Tail-end of Frontal System, on the other hand, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Quezon, and the rest of MIMAROPA. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.

Amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and the rest of CALABARZON with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.

It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon with no significant impact.

Based on the update, for the forecast wind and coastal water conditions, Luzon will face moderate to strong winds that are moving in the northeast direction while facing moderate to strong coastal waters.

Visayas will face light to moderate winds that are moving in the east to northeast direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.

Mindanao will face light to moderate winds that are moving in the southeast to northeast direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
