PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (January 16)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon and the shearline would bring rains over some parts of the Philippines.

On Saturday (January 16, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The Amihan and the Tail-end of Frontal System would affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Tail-end of Frontal System or shear line would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region and Samar provinces.

The northeast monsoon would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies over the remaining parts of Visayas and the rest of the country. The weather agency also warned the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over Luzon would be moderate to rough. The surrounding sea conditions over the remaining parts of the country would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
