Bong Go Says President Duterte to Summon Cybercrime Experts to Stop Students From Selling Sensual Images for Online Learning
Senator Bong Go said that President Duterte would summon government’s cybercrime experts to stop the reports about students selling sensual images online.
Earlier this week, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian received reports that some students are selling obscene images and videos online just to earn money for distance learning expenses.
On Wednesday (January 6, 2021), Bong Go reported that President Duterte is already taking actions to address the reported online sale of sensual images of students just to support their necessities for online learning.
Mr. Duterte is planning to summon the government’s cybercrime experts to discuss on how to stop such lascivious act. He also aims to protect the students and the young teenagers from any form of abuse.
“Plano po ipatawag ng Pangulo ang mga cybercrime units and experts from concerned agencies para mapag-usapan kung paano maitigil ito at maproteksyunan ang ating kabataan,” Go said .
Go called the public’s attention to immediately report similar incidents to the authorities for immediate action. He also told the less-fortunate students could seek help from the government.
“Hindi niyo po kailangan na pumasok sa ganun. Nandito po ang gobyerno, lapitan niyo lang po ang aming opisina dahil handa kaming tumulong sa inyong pag-aaral,” Go added.
