Filipinos Infected By COVID-19 Abroad Increases, DFA Confirms

Update on Filipinos Infected by COVID-19 Abroad Amid the Global Pandemic

FILIPINOS INFECTED BY COVID-19 ABROAD – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) gave an update on the Pinoys infected by coronavirus abroad.

Over 200 countries and territories recorded cases of COVID-19, a coronavirus strain that is reported to have been first logged in China in 2019. Beginning January 2020, several countries started confirming their first cases of the disease.

Even the World Health Organization (WHO) was alarmed by how fast it spread among nations. Previously, WHO reminded countries not to let their guards down early to avoid a second wave of the disease.

COVID-19 has flu-like symptoms but there are also asymptomatic cases or cases that show no signs at all. It can infect people regardless of age although the seniors are known to be more susceptible to it.
