Policeman Killed In Pontevedra Town, Negros Occidental
PONTEVEDRA TOWN – A police officer was recently shot to death in Pontevedra town in the province of Negros Occidental.

The slain cop was identified as Police Staff Sergeant Ildefonso Casugod. He was walking along the reclamation area when the suspect wearing a hooded jacket and facemask approached him and shot him to death, according to a report from GMA News’ Balitambayan.
The suspect, as well as his cohort, hurriedly fled from the scene of the crime.
Police investigators are currently probing further to determine if the motive of the crime is work related, as well as identifying the assailant.
On the other hand, in General Santos City, another cop was also shot to death, based on the report.
The cop, identified as Jason Capanan, was about to enter his house when three suspects aboard their motorcycle attacked the victim.
Recovered from the crime scene were 10 bullet cases.
The victim’s family made no further statement. The police are probing further to determine the motive of the crime.
