MY FATHER IS A POLICEMAN – Frank Gregorio’s widow Ronalyn Cariaga cried at the wake of her late husband and mother-in-law.

Over the past few days, “My Father is a Policeman” incident has been one of the most controversial and discussed topics on social media. The crime involves police SMSgt. Jonel Nuezca who shoots victims Sonya Gregorio and Frank Gregorio.

Jonel Nuezca voluntarity surrendered to the police authorities after receiving massive amount of criticisms from the online community. The altercation reportedly started due to “Boga” and misunderstanding regarding the ‘right of way’.

Ronalyn Cariaga, the widow of the victim Frank Gregorio bursts into tears during the wake of her late husband and mother-in-law. She said that her partner is supposed to go back in Pangasinan to celebrate the Christmas Day with their child.

Sonya’s husband Tatay Florentino Gregorio said that his son Frank is staying at  Paniqui, Tarlac for a construction job. Frank left his partner and child in Pangasinan.

May pamilya po ‘yang naiwan sa Pangasinan. Kaiisang taon lang po ng anak niya noong September. Matagal na niya pong gustong makauwi ngayong paskong ito para makasama niya. Kasi po doon [sa Pangasinan], wala siyang magiging trabaho kundi maghihintay lang po ng kung kailan [magkakaroon]. Kasi po ang anak kong iyan sanay sa hirap, kaya kahit sa paglelabor lang po sa construction kinakaya niya, pinapasok niya,” Tatay Florentino said.
