PNP-IMEG Operatives Arrest Taguig City Policeman Over Alleged Robbery-Extortion Case

The PNP-IMEG reported that a Taguig City policeman has been arrested by the operatives over alleged robbery-extortion case.

On Thursday (December 17, 2020), the Philippine National Police-Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group arrest Police Staff Sergeant Carlo Marsaba Sison for robbery-extortion accusations.

Sison has been arrested during an entrapment operation in Napindan Road, Barangay Napindan after accepting the P15,000 masked money. The cops start to monitor Sison’s activity after receiving complaints.

The Taguig cop who has been assigned at the Tipas Police Substation allegedly claims that the unnamed complainant’s name has been included on list of suspected drug personalities. Sison allegedly promised to remove the complainant’s name from the list in exchange of P15,000.

“It turned out that the suspect was just using the scheme to mulct money from unsuspecting civilians in his area. We are now investigating if he had also victimized several other people before he was arrested,” IMEG Police Colonel Thomas Frias said.

The police authorities recovered the marked money, two mobile phones, and PNP-issued Glock 17 semi-automatic pistol. The suspect is now under the custody of PNP-IMEG while facing criminal and administrative charges.
