Free RT-PCR Tests for Returning OFWs from Middle East During Christmas Season Offered by PAL
The Philippine Airlines (PAL) is now giving free RT-PCR tests for returning OFWs from the Middle East during the Christmas Season.
The Flag carrier PAL is offering free RT-PCR tests from December 21 to 31, 2020 for the returning overseas Filipino workers from the Middle East countries such as Dubai, Doha, Dammam, and Riyadh, and Bahrain.
The airline said that the RT-PCR tests would result to a shorter quarantine period not more than 24 hours. The results will be released 24 hours upon arrival while other testing centers reached two to five days.
“Land-based OFWs and their dependents departing from Dubai, Doha, Dammam, and Riyadh, and Bahrain may now avail of PAL’s own One-Stop Shop (OSS) facility for their complimentary RT-PCR tests upon arrival,” PAL said.
The airline company aims to allow the OFWs to spend more time with their families during the holiday season by giving quick release of results. PAL’s One-Stop Shop facility at NAIA Terminal 2 is working together with Detoxicare Molecular Diagnostics, which is accredited by the Health Department.
Meanwhile, the Philippine government is cooperating with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) to accommodate all arriving OFWs at quarantine hotels.
