Philippine Airlines & Cebu Pacific Expected To Resume Flights This Month

The Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific are expected to resume the commercial flights soon or anytime this month of May 2020.

Over the past few months, the local and international flights have been temporarily suspended after the Philippine government implemented the lockdown with the aim to contain the spread of coronavirus disease.

Several airline companies in the country are now preparing to resume flights within the month of May. The airlines also released several rules and regulations during the flight to ensure the safety of both employees and passengers.

Airlines are requiring their employees to undergo rapid antibody testing before being allowed to work again.  Airline crews including boarding staff, flight attendants, and other personnel are ordered to wear personal protective equipment during flight.

PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said that they are now preparing for possible booking before the government give them a go signal to operate.

We have complete sets of masks, gloves, goggles, and personal protective equipment (PPE) which our crew will wear during and every flight for the protection of everyone on board.” Villaluna said.

Villaluna also explained that passengers are only allowed to carry up to two-kilogram carry-on luggage and five-kilo free checked baggage.
