PAL earlier said that it will temporarily halt all remaining flights on March 26, Thursday. The last flight to depart will be PR 104 heading to San Francisco at 10:10 PM.

Cielo Villanueva, spokeswoman of PAL, said that it aims to resume their operations on April 15.

Villanueva also said that there will be incoming flights from New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco from Thursday and Friday, as per the article from ABS-CBN News.

She added that the decision if the resuming of operations will be full-blown or calibrated will be until further announcement.

On March 17, domestic flights were halted since this is the beginning of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.

The largest island group of the Philippines, where about 100 million lives, is under lockdown until April 12. Residents are urged to observe home quarantines and most establishments, excluding banks, groceries, and pharmacies, are temporarily shut.

As per the report, there is a decrease of demand due to the Luzon-wide quarantine. The PAL spokeswoman added that several nations also shut their borders, anticipating more of this scenario within the next few days.
