DepEd Undersecretary Alain Pascua Now in Hospital Due to COVID-19

DEPED UNDERSECRTARY ALAIN PASCUA – The official of the Department of Education (DepEd) confirmed that he tested positive for COVID-19.

One of the countries that is currently battling against the spread of COVID-19 is the Philippines. The entire nation is still under community quarantine measures now.

The said pandemic has brought a lot of changes to the country. Classes that usually start in June were not able to do so due to the threats of the disease. Currently, students get education through blended learning.

There are modules released by the Department of Education (DepEd) and they also hold online classes. The authorities have yet to decide on the possibility of bringing back the face-to-face classes in January.

Recently, another DepEd official tested positive for COVID-19. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, DepEd Undersecretary Alain Pascua is currently in the hospital being treated for COVID-19.

DepEd Undersecretary Alain Pascua was exposed to a COVID-19 patient last week. Based on the report, he experienced mild symptoms starting Tuesday and got the result by Thursday.

According to the DepEd Official, he already informed his personnel who had a close contact with him to undergo self-isolation. Also, the Central Office has coordinated with the health authorities for the contact tracing.
