Party at Batangas Resort Captured Violating Health Protocols Under Probe

Video footage of massive people holding a party at a resort in Batangas slammed by the Department of Tourism (DOT) for violating health protocols.

At the ease of strict community quarantine due to the decrease of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases, business establishments are now allowed to continue their operation. However, they should operate based on the guidelines set by the Inter-Agency Task Force against COVID-19.

Among those business establishments allowed are resorts. Resorts now allowed tourists to visit and have their vacation rest after a month-long quarantine. But due to excitement and missing bonding with friends it could lead to negligence of the safety protocols.

In video footage uploaded by the ABS-CBN News, dozens of people were captured having a party at a beach resort in Barangay Laiya, San Juan, Batangas. As they enjoy their party they haven’t notice that they already violating the social distancing and mass gatherings protocol.

According to the post, the video recorded by a concerned netizen has already reached the Department of Tourism (DOT). Thus, DOT condemned the management along with the people involved in the party and will conduct an investigation.

Meanwhile, the video has earned various reactions. Other netizens express disappointment, while other netizens defend the tourists and the management.
