Lipa, Batangas Representative Vilma Santos has this reaction to the political offers for her for the 2022 elections.
Aside from her success in the entertainment industry, the Star For All Season has also done an amazing job when it comes to her role as a public servant.
For several years, she has been serving her constituents in Batangas and she receives good feedback about this. Ate Vi has also shown that she stands firm on what she believes would bring better change to her province and the country.
Based on the article from Hataw, since the name of Vilma Santos created a loud buzz when she aired her views regarding the death penalty and the ABS-CBN franchise issue, her name in the political arena is catching some attention.
Because of the decisions that she made regarding the said matter, her name is now “mabango” not just in the province of Batangas but in the whole country also.
It is inevitable that she is receiving offers to run for a position in the national level in 2022 election. Apparently, the actress-politician has already received this kind of offer during the past election.
“Noong nakaraang eleksiyon, ilan ang kumausap sa akin para kumandidatong vice president, pero tinanggihan ko,” she shared. Vilma said that her reason of turning the offer was because she did not feel that what she has done for Batangas is already enough.
“Ikalawa, hindi ko maaaring talikuran ang tungkulin ko sa pamilya ko, at kung mas mataas na posisyon iyan, kailangan ko nang magpunta sa kung saan-saang lugar, paano na ang responsibilidad ko naman sa pamilya ko. Kaya ako happy na ako na hanggang Batangas na lang ako,” Vilma Santos added.
