PRINCESS DIANA – Netflix series “The Crown” depicts the story of famous royal couple Princess Diana and Prince Charles Love Story.

The Crown‘s fourth season showed us what the most famous and tumultuous royal relationship looked like in the past between Princess Diana and Prince Charles. This season will accordingly cover the time period between 1977 and 1990.

Olivia Colman stars as Elizabeth and the other casts are Tobias Menzies, Helena Bonham Carter, Ben Daniels, Marion Bailey, Erin Doherty, Josh O’Connor, Emerald Fennell, Charles Dance, Gillian Anderson and Emma Corrin. They will give us a royal picture what happened in the past which gave a lot of their fans excited about.

And what they are also waiting for is the appearance of Lady Diana Spencer which will be played by Corrin. The late Princess Diana is the first wife of Prince Charles and the mother of Princes William and Harry. Accordingly, this season will focus on the complicated relationship between Diana and Charles.

Diana and Charles met in 1977 and it was far from love at first sight in his part. He was dating her sister then but it didn’t work out between the two of them. And Diana, after meeting him, vowed to marry him and she was just 16 years old when Charles was first introduced to her.

And in 1980, seeing each other again, an attraction blossomed and that’s the time they started dating despite their 12 year age difference. Reportedly, they only saw each other 13 times before the wedding proposal happened. Most of their relationship took place over phone conversations. It was just a very short courtship and shortly after, they announced their engagement in early 1981.

They announced their engagement in February of 1981 and got married in July of that year. It was fairytale wedding which happened in St. Paul’s Cathedral. It is still considered as one of the most memorable royal weddings of all time.

However, it was a rough marriage for the both of them. Although they were blessed to have two sons, what came to be a worldwide controversy is Charles’ affair with Camilla in the 1980s which went public in the early ’90s. In 1992, they separated and officially divorced in 1996. And a year later, the dubbed as “People’s Princess” met her untimely death.

Charles and Camilla, on the other hand, became open to public about their relationship and got married in a civil ceremony in 2005.
