Mariel and Robin Padilla "Libreng Pabahay" To Their House Helpers

With some realizations amid the pandemic, Mariel and Robin Padilla decided to do this for their helpers.

ROBIN PADILLA – Mariel Padilla shares in her latest vlog the houses that she and husband Robin Padilla’s free housing project for their house helpers.

Such an inspiration to many people are Robin and Mariel Padilla who decided to do this for the safety and security of their house helpers. In time of their second daughter Gabriela’s first birthday is their free housing project announcement to their staff where they welcomed everyone regardless of their religion.

Amid the pandemic, they were accordingly really strict to follow health protocols in their house because they have two little kids. No one goes and goes out and they are very firm about it. However, realizing that their staff are humans as well where they also long to be with their family, they decided to build houses for them situated in a single compound.

They consulted to an expert and it said that the pandemic might not end in the coming weeks or weeks. It can accordingly last for as long as 4 years, hence, their decision to build houses for them. They built 2-storey houses for them and right there, their staff were able to send their family within their reach.

Mariel shared, “Ang dami-daming nangyayari so mag-aalala sila sa mga pamilya nila. And we wanted to remove that worry away from them para hindi na nila ‘yon iniisip. So Robin decided to take them under his wing. here’s a place wherein Robin takes care of a few Muslim families. And for the very first time, we opened the doors to Christians, to Catholics like myself, for our staff.”

Emotional, their staff has nothing but endless gratitude for their employers’ kindness and genuine care for them. As for Mariel and Robin, with all the sacrifices they did for them and for understanding their conditions amid pandemic, the project is something they deserve and their way to give back to them for their love and care for their family.
