Actress-host Angel Locsin shared a post on her Instagram account being resilient of Filipinos amid crisis and calamities and this received negative comments from netizens.
Angel is one of the celebrities who are visible amid trying times in the Philippines. She was there in Marawi after the conflict and she was giving relief goods after typhoon Ondoy and Yolanda. The actress is also active amid the COVID-19 pandemic, helping the less fortunate and the frontliners.
As the country has suffered from series of typhoons this last quarter of the year, Angel is also one of those who are extending help to many people.
Amid typhoon Ulysses, she shared this post on her Instagram account. It was a list of emergency numbers that people can contact if they need help. Her caption aimed to inspire and boost the faith of Filipinos amid the crisis.
“My heart bleeds for those heavily affected by these typhoons #Rolly & #Ulysses. Praying that you, your loved ones, and colleagues are safe and secure. Our resilience will always be greater than any calamity! Alagaan natin ang isa’t isa. Keep safe mga kababayan ko,” Angel Locsin wrote.
Many netizens, once again, showed admiration for what she is doing in order to help. She earned the tag “real-life Darna” because of her efforts amid calamities. Several netizens also prayed for her safety and the rest of the country.
However, there were netizens who commented negatively on this post of the actress-host. A netizen said that the youth who are being recruited by the NPA (New People’s Army) are also pitiful.
To recall, Angel has been red-tagged. She is accused of having a connection with the lefties due to her political stand. Another netizen said that glorifying “resilience” should be stopped as if it is the only thing people can do. A netizen also accused that the post of Angel Locsin has a hidden agenda.
