Ethel Booba has this recent controversial tweet
Comedienne-singer Ethel Booba shared a tweet mentioning President Rodrigo Duterte and this was bashed anti-administration netizens.
For avid social media users, especially on Twitter, it is known that the previously known account using Ethel’s identity has been criticizing the Chief Executive and administration.
However, the comedienne revealed that she is not the person behind the tweets attacking the President. She even stressed that she is pro-Duterte and that she voted for him.
Her revelation garnered mixed reactions from the online community. Some questioned her intention of why she would let someone use her name to say what might be a contradiction of her belief. Because of that, she also received criticisms from the critics of the President.
Just recently, Ethel Booba shared a tweet addressing the bashers of the Chief Executive. “Kahit ano pa paliwanag nyo. Presidente pa rin si Duterte. Ang mahirap nyan may kasunod pa Daugtherty naman naku mukhang mas matapang yun. Lalo na kayong. Malulupasay. Happy?” she wrote.
Apparently, she was talking about Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, the daughter of the President who is being pitched to a higher political position next election.
Because of the said tweet of the comedienne, several anti-Duterte netizens bashed her. A netizen pointed out that as a President, Duterte should answer to the people as his employers and another one said that being the Chief Executive does not mean immunity from criticism.
There’s a netizen also who told Ethel to just eat her plants at home because this might help her develop her brains.
On the other hand, several netizens also showed support for Ethel Booba.
The comedienne also fired back at the negative comments that her controversial tweet received. On Tuesday, her name is one of the top trending topics on Twitter.
