Here’s statement regarding ABS-CBN News YouTube channels being inaccessible as of the moment.
ABS-CBN NEWS – The shut down media company, ABS-CBN, released statement about its news YouTube channels that cannot be accessed.
To recall, it was last July 10 that the official verdict from the Congress has been taken out regarding the franchise renewal application of ABS-CBN – it has been denied and junked by 70 lawmakers. It broke a lot of hearts and caused a massive job loss to thousands of its employees amid struggles brought by the pandemic.
One of the major implications that people have noticed with the absence of the network is the lack of current news and reports that will reach far-flung areas. As much as we are all aware of, ABS-CBN is the largest media company in the Philippines and they have regional channels which play vital roles in terms of updates during calamities.
As per others, many people were left in the dark as the remaining medias were not able to reach secluded areas that regional channels of ABS-CBN can. It bared information gap as one result of ABS-CBN shut down. Even the authorities have plead people on social media to reach those in far places over the super typhoon.
And now, with the close down seemingly not enough, the news YouTube channels of the network became inaccessible as of the moment just suddenly. This has been discovered by a lot of people who get news updates from their channel.
In their official statement, ABS-CBN stated:
"We are aware of the problem accessing ABS-CBN News channels on YouTube. We are currently investigating this and working closely with YouTube to resolve the problem. In the meantime, you can catch our live streams and news reports on the TeleRadyo Channel. Thank you for your patience and understanding."
