Filipino singer-songwriter and actress Janine Berdin rose to fame when she was crowned as the Season 2 champion at ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan’ of It’s Showtime. She created a buzz last September after she showed off her new look on social media.
The netizens were surprised by her transformation. In her interview with Vice Ganda. She admitted that she went under the knife to enhance her nose.
Days after her photos circulated online, Janine Berdin treated her fans to a surprise performance. She sang “Way Back Into Love” in the video she shared on her Instagram and Twitter account.

In an interview with Toni Gonzaga for “I Feel U,” Janine shared that there was a point in her life that she almost quit singing career. She said someone told her before to try acting instead.
“Kasi ever since I was a kid, music talaga ‘yung gusto ko i-pursue but marami ang nagsasabi sa akin na dahil nga po garalgal ‘yung boses ko, hindi ko po maaabot ‘yung dream na ‘yun. Kapag sinasabi kong gusto kong maging singer, sinasabi nila na siguro you should try acting na lang instead,” Janine said.
As a child, Janine said those opinions given to her crushed her self-esteem. According to her, she never thought she’s going to win TNT Season 2. She said her family gave her the courage to continue fighting for her dream.
“I had no expectations. Sa Cebu po, kapag nakita ka lang sa TV saglit, kukunin ka na ng mga restaurants tapos papakantahin ka na doon. ‘Yun ang sinasabi ko sa sarili ko. Kapag nakakanta na ako sa TV, kukunin na ako sa mga restaurant para makapag-gig ako,” she said.
