Tawag Ng Tanghalan winner Janine Berdin has this fiery reply to all the bashers of her new look.
Janine surprised the online community when photos of her showing her new look surfaced on social media. She sported a new hair color but netizens particularly pointed out the new glow on her face.
Many people admired her blooming appearance but it is inevitable that many netizens also expressed dislike. In an interview, the singer said that she attributed her new look to the fact that she did not feel afraid to embrace the change.
Janine Berdin said that she is now more confident than before after the change that she did. She also said that she is thankful to those who appreciated her new look.
“I’m very flattered kasi ang gaganda ng compliments. Thank you guys I really appreciate it,” she said after her name became a trending topic on Twitter on Tuesday.
On the other hand, the young singer also has a statement for those who are bashing her, especially to those who appeared to be condemning “cosmetic enhancements”.
Through direct messaging, Janine Berdin expressed to PEP her thoughts regarding the negative comments that people have after she flaunted her new look.
“Siguro, what I’d like to say is that we shouldn’t be afraid of change. Especially when you feel like you’re stuck in a dark place, you shouldn’t just sit there and wait for your surroundings to change for you. And that if you love yourself, it doesn’t mean you won’t do anything to improve yourself,” she said.
She added that people should not condemn change. For Janine, embracing change for a better version of herself is showing self-love. Then she said to those who are bashing her this line in her dialect: “May kasabihan nga po sa bisaya na ‘Ang masuya madeads’ char hahaha. Yun po. Thank you!”
