Singer-actress Janine Berdin broke her silence on her new look that became a trending topic on social media.

For many, Janine is the singer who captured the hearts of Filipinos when she joined It’s Showtime’s Tawag Ng Tanghalan while for some, she is a former child actress who appeared in several Kapamilya shows.

However, now, for many of her fans, she is a young lady who mesmerized many people with her looks and as well as her talent. Just recently, the online community is buzzing about her new look.

Many were surprised by her glow and some even took a second, or even many times, to make sure that it is really her. A salon showcased her unique new hair color.

Although this change in her garnered positive feedback, it is inevitable that some criticized her for this. During a recent interview on Darla Sauler’s YouTube channel, Janine Berdin shared the story behind her new look.

She said that she is glowing now because she did not feel afraid of change. The singer expressed that she wholeheartedly accepted it.

“Siguro naging blooming po ako kasi hindi po ako natakot of change. I think that’s what everyone should keep in mind na we shouldn’t be afraid of change na puwede tayong mag-change,” she said.

The singer added that there is nothing wrong with changing a part of one’s self if that does not make a person happy. “You only live once, hindi ba? Just do things that will make you happy,” she added.

Janine also shared that she has gained confidence after she embraced the change and this is bringing her happiness.

“Let’s not be afraid of change and let’s not condemn change. Kung may gustong mag-change, ipa-change mo sila. Bahala sila basta masaya sila. So ‘yun lang. Oh my gosh, I can’t believe I’m saying this,” she stressed.
