Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo has VIP treatment?
RABIYA MATEO – Newly crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2020 allegedly received VIP treatment in the pageant, here’s the truth to this.
Miss Iloilo Rabiya Mateo was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2020 but controversies surfaced and intriguing statements have caught social media attention. Taguig City’s Sandra Lemonon and Quezon City’s Michele Gumabao were among those who are vocal about the loss and some people though they’re just being bitter and sour about this. What did actually happen behind the scene?
There were rumors that Rabiya cheated but Alaiza Malinao, representing Davao City, said other wise. Rabiya accordingly deserved the title and that she worked hard for it. There were “retokada” rumors but this was also refuted.
Now, in another speculation where Rabiya accordingly received VIP treatment, she, as well, firmly denied this. She worked hard for the crown and did everything she could from the start until the end of the pageant this is despite the fact that she’s not among the frontrunners.
As per her interview in Balitaan from CNN Philippines, she said, “Ako po, hanggang kahapon, hindi ko alam na ako yung nanalo. At ako, pati na yung roommate ko, nagulat din. And ang masasabi ko talaga na there was no VIP treatment sa akin. Pinaghirapan lahat-lahat. Pinagdaanan ko dapat pagdaanan para manalo po.”
She also expressed that she fully understood if other candidates were not in favor for her success. The beauty queen admitted it breaks her heart but she knows where they are coming from but she knows in herself that fought a fairly.
