There were “retokada” rumors emerging after her photo when she was in high school got discovered by the netizens while others thought she’s not deserving. For a neophyte in a beauty pageant, she did really great because if she hasn’t, the judges won’t probably give her the title.

And there came rumors about her cheating in the competition. With this kind of allegations against the beauty queen, Alaiza Malinao, a fellow candidate of her representing Davao City believed she didn’t and was actually happy for her. Malinao believes she deserved the crown and title.

She defended her and insisted that it was their “queen” who did her make up and worked hard to get the prestigious title. She wrote, “MASIPAG si dzai. She worked hard! She’s fair! She did not cheat. She is a deserving winner!”
