Korina Sanchez shared this feeling after leaving ABS-CBN
TV host Korina Sanchez revealed that she still feels “kirot” when thinking about leaving her home network ABS-CBN.
Korina has spent three decades in the Kapamilya network. Her career in the broadcast industry flourished and the TV giant played a major role in her success. However, due to the shutting down of the media company, certain decisions were needed to be made.
Just like other artists and talent of ABS-CBN, Korina is also commissioned by the Brightlight Productions of former congressman Albee Benitez to do blocktimer show on TV5.
The veteran journalist said in a past interview that she got permission from her home network to carry her magazine show but it was renamed Rated Korina.
Based on the article from Pang-Masa, Korina Sanchez still had an uneasy feeling when she is thinking about leaving ABS-CBN.
“Lumabas na lahat ang tsismis na nasa 5 na ako, hindi ako kumikibo. Sa totoo lang, mayroon pa ring kirot,” hte TV host said. However, she clarified that what she feels is not “sama ng loob”.
“Masakit isipin na parang naglipat-bahay ka eh mahal na mahal mo ‘yung bahay mo. Parang nagiba. Parang ganu’n. Ang feeling, ganu’n. ’Yung parang nasunog, natupok ng sunog,” the wife of former Senator Mar Roxas explained.
She also said that she is happy for the offer from Benitez’s company but she can’t still forget the “family” that she had with her home network.
Being offered to have her own show in the Kapatid network made her happy. “Syempre, tuwang-tuwa ka, ‘di ba? Una, to be clear ha, I did not leave ABS-CBN. I retired 3 years ago, so hindi rin ako retrenched,” Korina Sanchez said.
