Korina Sanchez Speaks About Being A Certified “Kapatid” Now, Leaving ABS-CBN

Here’s what Korina Sanchez has felt now that she is a “Kapatid”.

KORINA SANCHEZ – Veteran broadcaster and host Korina Sanchez is now officially a Kapatid after signing a contract to Brightlight Productions.

One of the most respected and already a veteran in the field of broadcasting is Korina Sanchez. She’s been with ABS-CBN network for almost three decades and has worked in the following programs:

  • Hoy Gising! (1992-1997)
  • Balitang K (1996-2001)
  • Bandila (2006-2009)
  • The World Tonight (weekend, 1987-1995
  • TV Patrol (1995-1996, 2001-2004, 2010-2015)
  • Morning Girls with Kris and Korina (2003-2004)
  • Rated K (2004-2020)

In a previous article, after the network has failed to get a fresh franchise to continue its operations, the seasoned female broadcaster confirmed her transfer of network and just recently, she signed a contract with Brightlight Productions of former Negros Occidental Congressman Albee Benitez.

She expressed that she’s happy and honored and she means these words in saying it. Sanchez even described her day as a “happy day”. She will also have her magazine show in her new network entitled “Rated Korina” which will accordingly have the same but better format than her previous show.

“Well, you know, it hasn’t really been that long so that’s why I feel very, very blessed that I didn’t have to wait for so long for me to come out again on free TV,” she said. The broadcaster added that she’s been producing shows digitally but to do it on free TV is never the same.

Despite working in a different company, she shared of working with these familiar faces in the past years in journalism and in broadcasting. Thus, it seems like having a family again for her and “parang tuloy lang ang ligaya”.
