Message of Luis Manzano for Former ABS-CBN Colleagues in TV5 Shows
LUIS MANZANO – The Kapamilya TV host took to social media a message for his former colleagues in ABS-CBN who are now in shows airing in TV5.
The denial of the franchise bid of ABS-CBN has brought a lot of changes most especially to the people working in the network. It was over four months ago when the network placed its broadcasting operation on off-air.
The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) issued a Cease and Desist order against the network over its expired franchise. Thirteen hearings were held to tackle the issues surrounding the network.
In July 10, the members of the House Franchise Committee voted on the preposition to deny the network of a fresh 25-year franchise. With a 70-11 voting result, the network failed to obtain a new franchise.
Following the denial of ABS-CBN’s franchise bid, massive employee retrenchments took place. Several Kapamilya stars also transferred to other networks. They were given the freedom to accept offers considering the status of the network.
As for other celebrities, they accepted work offers from other networks. They are top-billing some shows aired in TV5 network.
The Sunday variety show of the Kapatid network, the Sunday Noontime Live (SNL), is headlined by Piolo Pascual, Maja Salvador, and Donny Pangilinan. It is directed by former ASAP director Mr. Johnny Manahan.
Another program, the Lunch Out Loud, was also launched yesterday in TV5 network. It is hosted by Billy Crawford, Bayani Agbayani, K Brosas, Wacky Kiray, Alex Gonzaga, and Macoy Dubs.
Recently, Kapamilya TV host-actor Luis Manzano took to social media a message for his former colleagues in ABS-CBN who are appearing in TV5 shows now.
In his Instagram post, Luis Manzano stated that he loves them wherever they are and he is proud of them all as he congratulated the Showtime, LOL, ASAP, and SNL families. Here’s the social media post:
