52 Tourism Establishments In Cebu Province Resume Operations
CEBU – Authorities allowed Around 52 establishments related to tourism have to resume operations as the province lowers its quarantine status to an MCQ.
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, one of the most heavily affected industries was tourism. Several tourism hotspots such as Cebu City shut down tourism establishments to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
However, as the number of cases begins to drop in certain areas of the country, the government decided to gradually revive the industry. The mainstream revival started with Boracay which opened on October 1st.

Meanwhile, establishments across 14 towns and cities in Cebu Province including resorts, hotels, restaurants, and eco-trip services were greenlit to operate. Oslob town located in southern Cebu has a majority of the establishments reopened with 17.
Along with Oslob, here are the other areas in Cebu permitted to operate tourism establishments:
- Alcoy
- Barili
- Boljoon
- Carcar City
- Dalaguete
- Minglanilla
- Badian
- Santander
- Moalboal
Alcoy, a tourism hotspot of the province has a total of seven business establishments related to tourism reopened. These include six resorts and one restaurant. Meanwhile, Barili’s famous All-Terrain Vehicle adventure service is also back on track.
However, in Boljoon, a recreational center was the only establishment allowed to reopen while four hotels and two resorts were reopened in Dalaguete.
In Santander, one beach resort was reopened while three accommodation establishments were opened to the public in Moalboal. Along with this, three eco-tourism services were greenlit in Badian.
