K-pop sensation BLACKPINK recently released the epic music video of their new single “Lovesick Girls” on their Youtube Channel. The music video has garnered 135 million views as of this writing. It’s a follow-up single to their hit “How You Like That” and “Ice Cream.”
Rose, Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo continue to smash new records. Their epic music video remains the number 1 trending on the video-sharing platform.
In a previous article, BLACKPINK’s “Lovesick Girls” music video received criticism from healthcare workers in South Korea. Korean Health and Medical Workers’ Union (KHMU) said the video allegedly s**xualizes nurses.
The K-pop group’s label YG Entertainment said they will delete the scene where Jennie was wearing a nurse outfit. “We will take this opportunity to deeply reflect on the heavy responsibilities laid out before us through this issue, caused due to the fact that we were unable to predict the rise of such a controversy within the length of the MV’s production as there was no external intention whatsoever…”
“We deliver our sincerest feelings of respect toward all healthcare workers devoting themselves to the wellbeing of our nation. Thank you,” it added.
