PAGASA – Habagat To Bring Cloudy Skies, Scattered Rains Over Parts Of PH This October 7, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day, October 7, 2020 (Wednesday).

The early morning forecast from the state weather bureau says that the Low Pressure Area or LPA was last spotted at about 320 kilometers east of Daet, Camarines Norte while the southwest monsoon will affect the western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on Wednesday on this day.

According to GMA News, the LPA and habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Mindanao, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Western and Central Visayas. The bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the northeasterly surface windflow will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.

The rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms and habagat. Again, flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, the weather bureau also observes an active tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility or PAR as of 3 AM.

Tropical Storm Chan-Hom was last spotted at about 1,600 kilometers east northeast of extreme northern Luzon. It is packed with maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 125 kilometers per hour. It is moving in the west northwest direction at 15 kilometers per hour.
