Angel Falls | About The World’s Highest Uninterrupted Waterfall

ANGEL FALLS – In this topic, we are going to know and learn about the world’s highest uninterrupted waterfall known as Angel Falls.

It is a waterfall in Venezuela and is known in Spanish as Salto Ángel and in Pemon as Kerepakupai Meru or  “waterfall of the deepest place“; or Parakupá Vená or “the fall from the highest point“.

It was named after a US aviator Jimmie Angel, who was the first person to fly over the falls.

It is known for being the world’s highest uninterrupted waterfall with a height of 979 meters or 3,212 feet and a plunge of 807 meters or 2, 648 feet.

This body of water drops over the edge of the Auyán-tepui mountain in the Canaima National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Gran Sabana region of Bolívar State. It is also along a fork of the Rio Kerepacupai Meru.

Its type is that of a plunge waterfall, which refers to the type that falls vertically without making any contact with the underlying cliff face. A plunge waterfall is known for their forceful fall and produce lots of water spray.
