Former broadcaster Jay Sonza had this past tweet that netizens recalled after actress Julia Barretto filed a case against him.
Sonza one again went controversial due to his social media post. He claimed that Julia is pregnant and the alleged father is Gerald Anderson. Both stars from ABS-CBN denied this accusation from the former journalist.
The family of the actress also rallied behind her and on September 25, she and her mother Marjorie Barretto went to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to formally do the legal way to fight against the claim of the former broadcaster.
As of press time, Jay Sonza has not yet released a statement as an answer to the case that Julia Barretto filed against him. However, several netizens recalled a certain tweet of the former broadcaster about “defaming” others.
In his June 16, 2020 tweet he said, “You defame the integrity of a private person and claim to be a journalist. Shame on you Maria Ressa. You can never be one. You’re a disgrace.”

Following the denial of Julia and Gerald, Sonza reiterated that there was someone who admitted the claim he posted. Because of this, several netizens recalled that the denial that Marjorie did regarding her youngest daughter with former politician Recom Echiverri.
The former actress only introduced her youngest daughter to the public when the latter was already six years old. Last year, she finally admitted that Echiverri is the father of her child.
