Here Is The List Of Pro-Duterte Facebook Pages Removed By Facebook

LIST OF PRO-DUTERTE FACEBOOK PAGES – Recently, Facebook announced that they have removed over a hundred pro-Duterte Facebook pages for violating community standards.

Along with this, the origins of the Facebook pages have been traced back to China. Furthermore, a majority of these accounts were also linked to the police and the military which both disowned. However, they called the pages that were red-tagging activists “advocacy groups” and called on Facebook to recover the pages.

Among the violations of these groups were “coordinated inauthentic behavior on behalf of a foreign or government entity”. Based on an article from The Guardian, the earliest example of red-tagging done by one of these pages was traced back to 2015.

The posts came amid a series of violent attacks on human rights advocates in the Philippines which involved 13 members of the group “Karapatan”. Meanwhile, a Facebook account named “Romania Manalo” listed of some of the biggest deleted Facebook pages and compiled them.

The page with the biggest following was “Duterte Warriors” with over 455,000 followers. Then, it was Bongbong news update with over 150,000.

Back in April, Twitter had already suspended several pro-Duterte accounts for violating the social media platform’s spam policies. Among these violations are the following:

  • Posting duplicate content across multiple accounts
  • Creation of duplicate/multiple accounts
  • Sending large amounts of unsolicited replies
  • Spamming unsolicited mentions

Ever since Duterte was elected as the head of the country in 2016, online political support for the admin have been widely manufactured. It was reported that politicians would seek help of “trolls” to create multiple accounts online.
