It was 1967 when actress Helen Gamboa and Tito Sotto met. the politician said it was all love at first sight. After that meeting, he said he knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
They renewed their vows on their 50th wedding anniversary. Last September 13, their daughter Ciara Sotto shared her parent’s 50th wedding anniversary AVP on her Youtube Channel. She said she uploaded it to mark her mom and dad’s 51st wedding anniversary.
In a previous article, Senate President Tito Sotto revealed the dress his wife wore when they eloped 50 years ago. He said the formal courtship only happened after their wedding.
“Nung magtanan kami nung 1969, tumalon siya sa bakod. Itinakbo ko siya sa Sto. Tomas, Batangas. Ikinasal kami sa pari dahil nawawala yung piskal. Ibinalik ko siya nung hapon na, at ang laki ng problema namin pag-uwi,” he shared.

On Wednesday, September 23, Tito Sotto took to Instagram to share a photo of the wedding anniversary gift he gave to his wife Helen Gamboa. The politician gave his beloved wife 51 jumbo red roses to celebrate each year of their marriage.
In the caption of the post, he wrote: “Buy her a rose! This time 51”
