Here’s Nora Aunor Statement On ABS-CBN Shutdown
NORA AUNOR – Superstar Nora Aunor expressed her concern over the untimely closure of the Kapamilya network in a statement
On May 5, loyal viewers and talents of the largest tv network in the Philippines ABS-CBN, were shocked after it went off the air. The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) issued a cease and desist order against the broadcasting network due to its alleged violation.
A number of Kapamilya and Kapuso celebrities have expressed their support for the media company. The statements of Coco Martin and Kim Chiu went viral on social media. Netizens turned their viral statements into hilarious memes and even made a song about it.
On Friday, May 22, Kapamilya Online World shared the statement of ‘Superstar‘ Nora Aunor regarding the untimely shutdown of the ABS-CBN network on their Facebook Page. The veteran actress has sided with the Kapamilya network.
“Bilang nagtrabaho rin sa ABS-CBN ng marami ring taon mula pa sa radyo hanggang sa telebisyon ay nakaramdam ako ng lungkot sa pagsasara nito.”
Nora Aunor has worked at the Kapamilya network for many years. While she is currently a contract artist of the Kapuso network, she expressed her solidarity with 11,000 ABS-CBN workers.
She said their livelihood has been put into jeopardy amid the COVID-19 crisis. He hoped that the network will return and continue their service to the Filipinos.
“Ako ay lubos na umaasa na malalagpasan ng ABS-CBN ang suliraning ito na dumating sa kanila. Sana ay muling makapagtrabaho ang kanilang mga talent, empleyado lalo na ‘yung mga maliliit na manggagawa nila,” she said.
