Vico Sotto has another dream profession
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto shared that he always wanted to become a doctor in his recent post on his Instagram account.
At a young age, the son of prominent showbiz personalities Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes, served as a councilor in Pasig. Then, in 2019, he ran for the mayoralty race and won by a landslide.
He caught the attention of people from around the Philippines because he was able to break down the reign of a political clan in Pasig for almost three decades. When he officially assumed the job of the mayor in one of the cities in Metro Manila, Vico showed how a young leader should lead his people.
The young public servant received positive feedback not just from his constituents but also from people in other cities not just in Luzon but as well as in the Visayas and Mindanao.
Some have wished that they also have a mayor in their city or town like how Mayor Vico Sotto is working for Pasiguenos. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, he is one of the mayors who topped the rating when it comes to the LGU’s response.
It can be seen on his social media posts and well as from the official posts of the Pasig City government that he and his fellow public servants are doing extra effort to provide for the needs of their people.
Just recently, Mayor Vico shared this photo while he was working. He was wearing a scrub suit just like what the doctors and nurses are wearing.
“I’ve always wanted to become a doctor… (ever since our Covid Referral Facility doctors gave me my own pair of scrubs. Thanks docs!),” he said in the caption. He also said that he wore this suit for the Monday Morning Updates as what he promised to do.
“Sa lahat ng mga trabaho ngayong pandemya, nasa kanila ang pinaka mahihirap. Kaya pag napapagod din ako, iniisip ko na mas pagod pa silang 12++ hrs nakatayo sa init ng PPE,” the young politician added.
